Ujamaa Christian Poetry
He Gave us Daffodils
Dewdrops on daffodils
are the tears from years of sorrow
when young men died for the "morrow
so we can sing
"Let Freedom Ring"
- each year God grants us spring.
When one thinks of their courage
their faith
and their hope
Rejoice for them.
Touch God's daffodils.
See the rainbows in the dewdrops
that sway in the breeze
of freedom.
For the courageous are with God
and have everlasting life.
