God Didn't Have To Be
God did not have to be -
the God that loves you and me.
God didn't have to make us in
His own image but He did.
God could also have kept Jesus'
Salvation hid.
Yes, God could have done anything
and in Heaven kept Jesus!
But God loved us, so He sent His
only Son to save us!
God sent Jesus into this world of
turmoil, hate, lust and every sin.
God knew that we all had to die
before we could live again!
The only way God could do that was
to sacrifice His only begotten Son.
Sin was defeated and everlasting life
over eternal death was won!
So, remember, God didn't have to be -
the God that loves you and me!
