For he shall be delivered to the Gentiles
and shall be mocked and scourged and spit upon.
And after they have scourged him,
they will put him to death.

They called Him stupid.
They called Him a fake,
denounced, beaten, defrocked,
they hung Him on a cross.

They called Him a fake,
my eternal Lord and Savior.
They hung Him on a cross
The Lord of lords and King.

My eternal Lord and Savior,
denounced, beaten, defrocked.
The Lord of lords and King.
They called Him stupid.
