I thank You for the light of the sun
And that of the moon that fades at dawn
For joy in my heart and laughter on my lips
And Your praise in the trees birds do sing
For the wind that blows howling Your glory
And the rivers that flows telling Your story
For the clouds releasing the rains of Your power
And the soil giving way to crops at its hour
For animals in the jungle praising You in their own language
And the ones in the sea honouring You with an adage
For the cold of winter and warmth of spring
And the hope blooming flowers do bring
For the frogs croaking in Your praise
And the insects floating in Your grace
For the lizard after a fall giving You thanks
And the lung fishes that sniff air at river banks
For Your mercies how strong, how tender till the end
And Your joy how full to all men
